SYNSEL ENTERS MASTER DEVELOPER AGREEMENT FOR GREEN VILLAGES

September 24, 2023

SynSel has recently inked a Master Developer agreement with Family Hope Ministries, a significant stride towards advancing sustainable living solutions. This agreement entails the collaborative design and integration of Renewable Energy (RE) platforms to complement Family Hope Ministries pivotal project: a hydroponic organic greenhouse. Jeff Lewis, the CEO of Family Hope Ministries, emphasizes, "The greenhouse aligns seamlessly with our mission to provide housing and sustenance for veterans, seniors, disabled individuals, and the homeless. By bringing the organic greenhouse in-house, we rely on SynSel to implement the Green Modules to optimize our climate impact."

The anticipated funding closure is set for February 2024, marking the commencement of the first resort sites in Austin, Texas, and St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. In this innovative partnership, the greenhouse acts as the "hub," while SynSel's additional platforms serve as the interconnected "spokes." These spokes comprise the Green Electric Module (GEM), Green Fuel Module (GFM), and Green Sludge Module (GSM).

The GEM incorporates a state-of-the-art down-draft gasifier, converting biomass waste and sorted Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) into synthetic gas.

This purified gas is then harnessed by a combustion turbine, generating green electricity for both greenhouse operations and resort housing units. With a nominal capacity of processing approximately 50 tons of sorted MSW and biomass daily, the GEM plays a crucial role in bolstering the sustainable initiatives of Family Hope Ministries.

Meanwhile, the GFM employs cutting-edge Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) technology, processing sorted MSW and biomass to produce drop-in renewable transportation fuels, including gasoline, diesel/marine fuel, and jet fuel. This technology boasts a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) that indicates a remarkable 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional fossil petroleum distillates. This not only positions vehicles with Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) as environmentally competitive but also outperforms Electric Vehicles (EVs) in terms of ecological footprint. The GFM's nominal capacity processes

100 tons of feedstock, yielding 8,600 gallons of renewable fuel output.

The GSM is a groundbreaking solution for converting wet waste (sludge) into Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) pellets. Employing an efficient and innovative process that utilizes heat from the solids to dry the sludge to about 80% moisture content, the resulting pellets can be utilized in both the GEM and GFM. Beyond its waste-to-fuel capability, the GSM serves as an organic source of phosphorus, potassium, and trace minerals for the greenhouse. A typical GSM installation can effectively support a population of 35,000 people.

This strategic partnership between SynSel and Family Hope Ministries not only signifies a milestone in sustainable development but also demonstrates a commitment to environmentally conscious solutions, setting a precedent for future projects and collaborations in the green energy sector.
